| - Overall, a very positive spa experience at the Fairmont! We happen to be staying at the hotel and had spa access for general amenities included in our room which was such a great add-on (normally $55 a day I think?). The facilities are quite expansive with a co-ed outdoor (yet completely shaded) waterfall therapy hot tub (but not too hot!), female/male areas that included an aromatherapy inhalation room, sauna, hot and cold plunge pool, steam room, and a small lounging area while waiting to be picked up for your treatments. The general lobby and check-in at the spa was simple and quite expansive in size (especially retail smack dab in the middle) but I did find it odd that majority of refreshments were upstairs in the lobby when it would have been more convenient to have it near where we wanted to relax (knocking a star for that).
The rooftop pool was a nice touch, including the floating bean bags in the pool and nice having poolside service for healthy snacks/meals as desired.
I ended up getting one of the 90-minute body treatments and had Monique who was simply amazing in both technique, just enough chatting, and overall experience/facility of the treatment room. Typical fancy spa prices which I didn't mind considering it was my splurge for this very affordable trip, but I definitely recommend if you have spa access for no added cost, to take advantage of the facilities as much as you can!
