| - Ok, maybe some people think 50 or 60 bucks a month is expensive, but coming from a larger city where I pay close to $300, I really don't get what everyone is complaining about.
My issue isn't the price so much as the service. I visit the area frequently to see family and using this gym as an out of towner is next to impossible. The last time I went there I tried to purchase a day pass twice- the first time I wasn't allowed to since it wasn't "guest hours", the second time I waited awkwardly for 15 minutes to talk to a "membership director" before getting annoyed and leaving.
Here's how this should work: I give you $20, you let me use the club. What's the big deal? Just an FYI, if you live out of town, you must stop at the desk and pay $20 EVERY TIME. They will not give you a month-to-month option, sell you a week pass, or anything like that.
As far as the club itself, decent variety of equipment, pool, running track, basketball courts, free classes and childcare. No, the locker rooms aren't huge, and no, they don't have towels, but for the price, I guess that's fine. One thing I do find a little odd is that they clean the gym during the day. A little strange to have someone circling around you with a vacuum while working out or changing in the locker room. Also, I don't know if it's all the beer and cheese in Wisconsin, but holy heck are the (women's) bathrooms gross! Please spare everyone and take your stank deuces at home people!
