| - AZ POOL GURU - Breach of Contract - Let the Buyer Beware
We did our homework prior to contracting with AZ Pool Guru checking with the BBB, YELP, and our community web site (Nextdoor). The owner, Chuck LaPose, also provided personal guarantees that his work was the best because of the high standards he set for his company and personal concern for his customers. A very good and personable salesman.
AZ POOL GURU contracted with us to repair and replace a number of things in and around our swimming pool. From the get-go it was a challenge with delay after delay. The work was finally completed but poor workmanship was apparent and repairs were immediately required. AZ Pool Guru attempted to fix the problems but again poor workmanship did not resolve problems and work performed continued to deteriorate. What a shame, Chuck LaPose the AZ Pool Guru not delivering on his promises nor honoring his company's warranties. We are very disappointed to say the least.
AZ Pool Guru's quote outlines the work providing a two year warranty on the decking and a five year warranty on the pool plaster. Kool Deck was requested and quoted for the decking but Kool Deck was not used and another product substituted without our knowledge or approval. Deck joint caulking, Kook Deck coping repair along with deck top caps and Deck-O-Drain installation failed due to improper, sloppy and unprofessional installation. We received promises to fix these issues, and appointments made but no one ever showed up. AZ Pool Guru no longer answers my calls, emails or texts. Their inability to fix the problems and honor their agreement has breached the contract and we are attempting to get our money back. We filed a BBB complaint, Case # 12247663, and intend to file a complaint with the Arizona Corporation Commission and seek restitution.
