I was pretty impressed with this place! I came here for an event, as they hosted a book signing and Q & A session with the author. It was pretty busy on a Thursday evening inside for the event, but I found a seat at the end of the bar.
I wasn't sure I was even in a service section but one of the bartenders came over within a few minutes to check on me and when I asked about IPA options, they have TOOL SHED ON TAP! The bartender also took the time to describe, 'they're a local brewery...' before I excitedly cut him off and told him that's what I wanted as it's one of my favourites. They have a pretty big draft beer selection, there looked to be about 20 options. Thursdays is half price wine night which I'll keep in mind for next time...
Later on we tried the food and it was really great pub food. I had the stuffed baby yorkies ($11.50) which was tasty and surprisingly large with six yorkies, and the steak salad ($18) was also really good! Lots of large pieces of tender steak (so I hear, I don't think I got to try any...) and a generous serving size.
Sadly we were inside for the event even though it was a warm summer night but the patio along 4th Street looked great, with cushioned seating, flowers and even a few trees. The area was spacious and had heaters running along the top to keep you warm on a cooler night.
We had really great service all night, even when bouncing around between tables and changing tabs at one point. Thanks Carson and Nicky!
