  • King Street divides this park into two segments with baseball and soccer fields to the south, and a children's playground and plenty of open space to the north. With this combination, and division, it makes this park one of the better in the city. You're able to play sports and the like without worrying about bothering those that may just want to sit and enjoy the scenery. The southern half of the park provides a well-lit baseball diamond as well as a large soccer field. During the day, the park is a great area for dogs to run about before soccer takes the evening. Most to all owners pick up after the dogs as well, so you don't need to worry about coming up stinky after a sliding tackle. On the north side, a good-sized playground is available for children to play on, with a large expanse of green space, trees, and park benches for you to sit, relax, and enjoy some quiet time with a sandwich, coffee, water, what have you. The sports-serenity combination is a great one-two punch for this park.
