I hate to give this place 3 stars. If it was based on the staff only it would have been 5 stars (minus one staff member). I was greeted and the lady at the front desk was smiling and very friendly as well as another man who helped her. I get on the elevator and its dirty and paint is chipping and looks like something from a 1 star hotel. I get in my room and at first it seems ok. Well the AC doesn't work well, the carpet was damp and smelled. I was going to ask to switch rooms but I was so tired and assumed every other room would have issues based on what I'd seen so far. The next morning I call to ask for late check out and the lady says, "how does 12 work"......keep in mind 12 is regular check out ( I guess she thought I didn't know). I told her well that's regular check out time and she said ok then 12:30. It turns out the hotel wasn't booked full and so going until 1-1:30 wouldn't have hurt them. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at Hampton Inn and the lady working it was very nice and kept the area so clean. I won't be here again unless they update this hotel.
