  • In & out in no time! I usually end up taking my car to a place early on a Saturday morning to beat the crowd, but I chanced it on South End Auto Inspections and went after work.... I got there around 5ish... and there was only one other person in front of me. It does help if you have a "newer" car... the inspection goes a lot quicker and it's less expensive. The think the break point year was 2016? Don't quote me on that. Other than having to wait to get my registration and keys to the inspector (since I was behind one other person), it was really a super quick stop and I was able to go about my day afterwards. The staffer that inspected the car was friendly and thorough. Also explained that the inspection results would be up instantaneously so if you were tight on time for renewal, you could do it the same day. I had plenty of cushion, but I still paid my renewal that evening so I didn't have to think about it anymore. The location is super convenient to SouthEnd on South Blvd. I can see where traffic during rush hour can make it tricky to make a left turn out of the lot, but just circle around Atherton/Euclid and you can come out the "back" on Ideal Way and get a left turn light from there. The waiting room is pretty typical, but honestly, you hardly spend much time in there because they are so fast! There is a TV and chairs, but don't get too comfortable here... you will be in and out in no time.
