| - Capos is an interesting experience. First, the entrance will set the mood, but you'll get no spoilers from me. And yes, it is as creepy as the strip mall the restaurant is located in.
We came in at about 5:30 on a Sunday and the place was pretty quiet, but we were told that there were no tables available, only spaces at the bar. No problem, we took the bar. The bartender/waitress was extremely attentive and pleasant and honestly, she was probably the high point of the experience - she was awesome.
The food is good but I have had better. We both ordered chicken parmigiana, and it was exactly what you want when looking for chicken parmigiana but priced higher. You can select your side dish from a few pre-set choices - I went safe for the spagetti on the side which was yummy, my boyfriend ordered mashed potatoes on the side (which, of course, I sampled - those were also good).
The prices are a little steep for sitting at the bar and what you get, but the vibe is cool - very old school Mob. Note the chalk outline on the floor as you walk out.
