I met Kent Axtell whose business is My Neighborhood Handyman LLC more than 2 years ago. He has worked in my winter house in Scottsdale, Arizona (we are snowbirds from New York) at least a dozen times and he
helped me with an emergency repair at a rental house I owned in Phx. as well.
Kent is always extremely polite and responsive. There is no job too big or too small for him to tackle. In addition to his extraordinary ability he has been able to solve problems for me that no other tradesperson could. I had 3 locksmiths to the house to work on the locks for my custom sliders and a bathroom pocket door lock.
None of them could fix any of them, or figure it out. Kent showed me how to lock the slider in less than a minute and did not charge me. He also fixed the unfixable pocket door lock! He's also extremely smart. I mentioned a problem I was having with the length of time it took the water to the master bath to get hot. He stated that it was the distance of the bath from the hot water heater. And I figured that was it.
A few days later of his own initiative he called me and said he though he had a solution for my hot water problem. And sure enough what he rigged worked and now the water to the bathroom gets hot almost immediately.
He is thorough and professional and I don't think there is any household job he couldn't handle. Sometimes he runs a bit behind schedule, but the wait for him is worth it and he always calls. Heck nobody is perfect, but Kent and his men are pretty close to it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.
