Our first time here! Been wanting to come here for years!! Celebrating my birthday today. Cool looking place and a pretty big bar also. We came for AZ Restaurant week. After all the hubbub about their chopped salad, i do have to say that it was very good and unique that has some sort of crunch to it that made it very interesting. We both had the shrimp and avocado appetizer. That was really a "meh" starter...no real umph to the shrimp in terms of flavor and the avocado just added a creamy texture to the dish but no real zing. Then the main course consisted of a beef filet with a bleu cheese butter topper...fantastic! It had asparagus and yukon mashed taters. The potatoes were grand! I had the pork mole ravioli which had an outstanding flavor and nice spicy kick that threw me off initially but really appreciate how it complimented the dish. And then there is the pastrami style short ribs...OMG! It tasted like an old school pastrami dish that i used to get at Katz's deli in NYC...(for those who don't know, that was a compliment). Finished off with a chocolate panna cota which also came around to the slight above the meh level again. Oh! Last thing, there is this superb martini that has raspberry infused vodka (its called "ciao" something...give that a try!l. We will go again to sample some other dishes and let you know about it.
