My brake light started flashing on my Audi. I called the Audi dealership and got quotes. Then I went to Yelp (GREAT APP! btw, use it for just about everything) and found Mr. Brake. It was number 2 on the list, but was much closer to me than the 1st one. Good enough for my purposes, I thought. I called Mr. Brake on Wednesday and got a Friday morning appointment. Owner asked me a couple of questions and then took a look at the brakes. He told me that the fronts needed new rotors (under the recommended 'wear' limit) and pads. The backs had another 4 to 6 thousand miles and rotors could be machined. He did recommend that if we did the backs, we should replace the rotors also, but we could wait on the backs. Low pressure, not trying to sell me anything, just giving me good info. I decided to have everything done at this time. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes (exactly what he told me it would take). He showed me my front rotors and how he measured it.
Very trustworthy and honest business person. Substantial cost savings over the dealership quote. I probably won't need to do brakes on this car again, but I do highly recommend Mr. Brakes for brake service. I will also keep him in mind for other servicing in the future.
