| - I had a pleasant experience with data recovery in July. I had an iPhone 4 (A1349) stop working after I'd accidentally dropped it in the pool. I was devastated since I had well over 400 baby photos on the phone! Of course, none were backed up at all and the pictures spanned several years. I didn't even think about the contacts, text messages, and other things that I'd lost. I just wanted those pictures! I talked with Eric, who is the lead engineer there at the Tempe location. He assured me that everything would be recoverable; however, they had to completely disassemble the phone, which took several days. I was told that the memory "chip" or something had to be removed and the the chip was only the size of a fingernail! To be able to remove something so small and recover all of those pictures is truly amazing to me! I was treated politely by the staff as well and was reassured the entire time that my data was not lost. The cost was not bad compared to other companies that I'd called but I'd gladly pay a little more for the better technology and engineer experience, which is pretty obvious if you do your research. The best part is they not only recovered all of my pictures, but also got back my contacts, text messages, music -everything! I was able to restore an iTunes backup that they provided to my new phone. These guys are the pros and have been around almost 20 years, and the name really says it all. That's why I'm leaving my new friends at data recovery a big fat 5 stars!
