  • Searching for Asian groceries in Pittsburgh? Lotus is the answer! It has the most extensive stock of Asian specialty products and produce compared to competitors in the area plus the prices are very reasonable. I have been coming here for years to stock up on noodles, snacks, sauces, and most importantly, tofu! They have a stand inside the shop with a limited variety of take-out items such as red bean cakes (so good!), tea eggs, and bubble tea. My one complaint would be their bakery section which could use some work. There aren't many options and their buns/breads usually look old and crusty by the time I get to them. The store itself is a bit cramped, so it's a pain weaving through a sea of shoppers during the weekends. Oh, good luck dodging pedestrians and fighting for street parking during busy hours in the strip. Pure madness. The employees are all foreign so their English is not fantastic. If you have a question, just be aware that it'll take some time before you get an answer. I once played a 10-minute game of charades with one employee before I found where the grass jelly was.
