Beautiful course but not a place you can really enjoy yourself and take in the scenery... We drove about 45 minutes and brought friends from out of state to do just this, unfortunately. Course Martial was strongly encouraging us to "catch" the group that started 2 holes in front of our group. They want you to play as fast as possible regardless if anyone is on the course. Our foursome didn't have a group AT ANY TIME behind or in front of us but the Course Martial was overly concerned about our 4 hour and 30 minute round. The fun of the game took a turn quickly and so did our scores.
Once the round was complete, I decided to mention my concern to the Golf Pro (Carolyn, I believe). Explained what happened and her response was similar to the Course Martial. I was pretty disappointed in the overall dialog that came from my comment. The Golf Pro seemed unconcerned and unapologetic. From a customer who just paid $400 for a group to play their course I found her tone and interest in my concern absolutely unacceptable. Sadly, I can't say I'll return to golf here or recommend it to any friends\family. All four people in our group share the same feelings.
