| - I thought the people that were running the place would be good to rent from. However, none of them can follow through on their word. I moved into an apartment that was not clean. It was disgusting, even Julie did not stay and finish the tour as I believe she was embarrassed. When we went to the office to find out what was going on they acted like nothing had happened. I then was promised by Chris that someone would come and clean. However, that never happened. I went back to the office again and once again promised someone would be out to clean. However, once again no one ever came. I ended up having to clean the apartment myself before I could even unpack my personal items. Since I moved from Wyoming all my items were in a U-Haul and I could not leave them out there as the deadline was approaching for me to return it. Therefore, I had no option but to clean the apartment myself, so I could have the truck unloaded. I have pictures and documentation of this as well to share if you would like to see them.
I understand that this property is going through renovations, however, I did not sign up to live somewhere they are consistently banging above me or around me. I should not have to endure banging and clanging going on above me when I am sick and on my only two days off. When I tried to express my concerns with office staff, I am ignored and/or hung up on. I have tried to call in and was put on hold or hung on by Maurice. When I called about the issue with banging going on all day Saturday and Sunday I was told by Maurice that he would find out what he could. However, he never called anyone until I showed up at his office. He then told me that he was under strict requirements that he could not call the boss but only wait until the boss called him. I was told Chris would be there but then was never called. When I called back I had to find out that Maurice talked to Chris. I asked him why he did not call me back as he knew I was waiting for a response. He said he is busy and does not have time to drop everything to call me. Chris ended up calling me after the fact once the workers stopped for the night as this was what Maurice said when he called me. I tried to express my concern regarding his office staff not considering my concerns a priority. He said that they did nothing wrong and there was nothing that could be done because they are within hours from the city. However, I did not want to move in here as I had my reservations that this may not be the best place, but since I am new to Nevada I am unsure of what is out there and thought I would give them a chance. Now I know that was wishful thinking on my part and no one can keep their word at the office.
I read the reviews online and I would have to agree with several of them. Even though you are trying to make this place better by having improvements it will not make a difference if your people continue to treat people as they do. You team needs customer service skills. I do not appreciate being told that I am in the wrong for having concerns, then apologized to just to get me off the phone. I recently found my water turned off and called the office to find out why. I spoke to Julie she said it was turned off because of an emergency. I told her I had no knowledge as no one let me know. She said they will not as it is an emergency. I told her they (management) had no problems coming over to my apartment and putting a notice on my door within five minutes of talking to them about my concerns of being present when they entered my apartment. According to them I have no rights and they can enter my apartment without me being present. She said that she found the whole conversation ridiculous and hung up on me. I would think that having no water would be a safety or hygiene issue and communicating with tenants would be a part of their jobs.
