  • Best over-all Pho joint / noodles / banh mi joint in PGH. A good selection of variations on Pho, the staple soup in Vietnam and very tasty Banh Mi (Vietnamese hoagie, basically). Their broth is the best most satisfyingly-seasoned and spicy hot of any pho joint in Pgh area. Nothing worse than watery bland pho broth. My personal favorite is "Bun bo hue" which is a spicy orange-colored cousin of Pho. Other , more solid dishes to be had, as well. They have recently relocated further west along Penn Avenue because that other building they were in was bought out and being turned into expensive Apartments - go figure - who would have guessed that would happen ? The new space is very small unfortunately but cozy. I don't like the cash-only as payment policy as it is backwards and people are probably more likely to stiff their server on the tip and just extremely inconvenient if you don't walk around with a lot of cash in your pocket all the time. Outside of that, highly recommended for your Vietnamese / Pho cravings / fix .
