| - For all of my life, as I remember back to childhood, I have had issues of not being happy with the process of getting clothes. As with, I imagine, all women, I could tell you many many stories of clothing issues and situations that were unhappy.
The team of Cindy and Jana at the Lane Bryant at the Tempe Marketplace location is the best best experience I have ever had in a clothing store. I went to that store a long time ago and it was not even something I remember being inside... I just know I was there once.
I have not had a lot of luck with Lane Bryants in the past (i.e. a complaint of mine was when they had "Venezia" on items I wanted and as I stated then, "My name is not Venezia!". To this day I have a comfy white sweatshirt that announces to the world that I am Venezia or from Venezia or whatever...)
Last week, out of sheer desperation, I went into that Lane Bryant seeking blue jeans. (I had no luck with finding jeans at Catherines (the ones I tried on for my size, literally stink, chemically) and The Avenue in Chandler ("Jeans are out of season now, that's why we don't have many". They had maybe 25 pair TOTAL ). The Avenue suggested that I try Macy's or Ross. I haven't shopped in a dept store for decades, so that was even more daunting since it's over 100 degrees outside and what are the chances that they have my size and shape? I don't want to go from mall to mall for just stupid jeans! I am a t-shirt and jean woman... this should not be hard. SOOOO, I HAD TO go to Lane Bryant.
Cindy was the sales associate that first approached me at the Tempe location. She was very helpful, listened to me and showed me the available selections in my size. Her interactions with me were delightful. I tried on various styles and sizes. She also mentioned that Jana (supervisor?) was a similar build, as I had described myself, and she might be of assistance. So, Jana helped me too! She was just as accommodating and caring as Cindy was. After a half hour of trying this and that, I ended up taking notes on my size/fit saying I appreciated their attention and help but I was going to go for now.... not really knowing what I was going to do since they did not have "petite" on hand in the size/style I wanted.
So, I went to Lane Bryant again yesterday. I went in and to my very very happy surprise, Cindy and Jana were there to help me again!!!! This time I had such a great time because they were so compassionate, understanding and wanting to help me however I needed with getting my new jeans. I chose to order them, through the website, with Jana's help, at the checkout. I soooo appreciated their kindness, professionalism and understanding that when it comes to sales and service, one needs to connect at whatever level the client is at. They exemplify the best best best. Thank you to the management for allowing that to happen. I really really needed to feel comfortable in that situation and environment. Clothes shopping is mostly stressful for me, and I'm not a picky person... just get me jeans and a t-shirt!
