| - Dr Lazar is a pip: masterful and deeply knowledgeable, Steve Lazar radiates confidence--this is what we want in a dentist, because anything that goes bad necessitates serious skills to remedy. My husband, an old soldier who is getting a bit creaky around the edges, was badly injured long ago in service to his country. His body was busted up pretty good, but it was his mouth that really was most degraded. He lost many teeth, which were variously, over the years, replaced with less-than-ideal procedures by less-than-ideal dental practitioners, who installed less-than-ideal bits of metal and porcelain which have now given way. The old boy has experienced little mouth comfort for the past thirty-one years; gaping vacancies abound in his ravaged pie hole. I feel sorry for him, but it takes considerable stacks of simoleans to purchase the several implants that he needs.
Two of my husband's compromised lower back teeth had to be pulled. This was a grim business, because he has so little with which to chew, particularly at the back of his mouth. Partial dentures will be required to fill long empty spaces created by the loss of overlong bridges and their now departed support teeth, the last of which Dr Lazar pulled without drama. Those extractions were done with consummate care. Dr Lazar is exceedingly professional and pleasant, solidly controlled in a way that reassures his patient. In the wake of Dr Lazar's efforts on behalf of my poor afflicted husband, there was no dry socket--an abomination that hurts like mad--because his technician, a very capable young fellow called Raphael, explained in simple terms what needed to be done so the extraction points would be induced to heal properly, and with minimal discomfort. My husband was sent home with a proper sheet giving the basic care guidelines for the days that would follow, along with necessary prescriptions for anti-inflammatory medications.
A week passed and together we visited Advanced Dentistry for a no-cost follow-up, this to ensure that everything was acting right (the extraction spots were healing predictably). There was also a brief discussion with Lorena, a key member of Dr Lazar's staff, who laid out options we might choose to replace lost teeth on both sides of my husband's lower mouth. The prices were very fair. A partial denture is the most cost-effective way to achieve good results in this case; but the old boy's future will eventually involve implants, when finally they can be afforded....
I enthusiastically recommend Advanced Dentistry, a wonderfully clean full-service shop for every budget. Dr Lazar, who graduated from Tufts, an outstanding school, is a highly-competent practitioner, an artist really, who fully understands his world; while the staff which supports him is both personable and gracious--Advanced Dentistry is top-class!
