Worst sportsbook to casino/hotel ration imaginable. Here's what I mean: the hotel and the casnio are top notch and I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Vegas. However, the sportsbook is the worst.
In the sportsbook they have low limits, they have poor drink service, they prefer to keep horse racing on the main TVs over basketball (during final 4), football (on weekends during the fall) and really any major sporting event.
If you want to make a larger wager on a game or a second half side/total (meaning a few thousand or higher) you can't do it here without supervisor approval, and to add insult to injury, if you do get approval, you have to watch the game on a 32" TV from 1998 since the big screens in the center of the sportsbook are reserved for horse racing 24/7/365.
When I stay at the Wynn (every other month or so), I always walk across the street to Palazzo and place sports wagers there. I watch in the Lagasse stadium and it is really only a short walk from the tables at the Wynn so it works out great.
I have spoken with a couple of manger types at the Wynn sportsbook about these issues on my last 2 trips and I have been treated miserably. I will never place a wager in that sportsbook again, but I will stay at the hotel and play in the casino every 6-8 weeks like I have been doing for a couple of years now. It's too bad Steve (Wynn) can't get the sportsbook up to the same standard as the rest of his property.
