  • We have been taking our dogs here for years. The staff is always friendly and they all appear to love dogs, which is not always the case at some of the other places in town. Today I had a bit of an emergency, we are leaving the country for a wedding, and my entire family is coming. My dog cut open her foot on the way to the car from the vet's office, on the way to doggie district, at the last possible minute. After returning to the vet, my dog had her foot bandaged, we were given an antibiotic and told to return in 3 days...and in 12 hours we leave the country along with anyone who could help us. I arrived at doggie district, and after they expressed legitimate concern for my dog's well being, I explained my predicament, as I would obviously not be able to take her back to the vet, they informed me that they would keep her bandages dry, would give her the antibiotics and had no problem at all running her back to the vet. I walked into the building expecting that I would be turned away as my dog had an injury, needed medication and a trip to the vet. My greatest hope was that I could find a friend to take her to the vet as long as she was able to be boarded in the first place. Turns out that they handled what I had assumed would be a minor emergency, with utmost professionalism and exceeded my expectations on every level. It might be that a lot of dog boarding companies will do the same thing, but in my experiences in the past with other kennels, I had serious doubts. It has been a very hard day getting ready for the trip and everything that can go wrong has gone wrong, but what I had anticipated would be largest problem of the day (if they didn't accept her I would have had to scramble to find someone who would take a dog they have never seen before at the very last minute) ended up having the easiest solution. Take your dogs here.
