This review is based purely on savory and not desserts. Will be back to get the flan for certain. Flan looked gorgeous and real flan, not some runny mess of a disaster. I have not been to their other outlet.
Ordered for takeaway beef bourguignon, spinach quiche, and split pea soup. Bourguignon was adequate because i was hungry, but could have been so much better. If they had used egg noodles instead of thick penne, better balance, or nothing. Also noticed that the owner asked the server to put some of the stew back from the container into their vat de la beef which was tacky and also not sanitary. Wondered what they may do w any leftovers! They also added hot water, and way too much so it was like a thin broth. Stew was mainly carrots with decent quality beef and a bit of onion thrown in which was prob from their onion soup. That was about 12.50$ and not of substantial quality for the price but again, they could improve. Would have been surprised if they had used any wine in the cooking process.
Quiche was bland w a serious smoky flavour, and split pea was eh, and had a smoky taste too. May have been bacon they were using.
They have a drive thru which was interesting. Place had been a Carl's Jr. Know this as some motif was left behind which they may want to remove.
Will try again since they are newish. Server was so friendly and lovely. Owner was not so much but sort of goes w territory.
