I have to admit, I do tend to use Ladurée as the benchmark for what a Macaron should be and I found the ones from Anet Gesualdi Macarons to be rather bad. The packaging is good and looks presentable however they have no specific flavour or identifiable taste. Just almondy-sugaryness. When a macaron is old, it loses its flavour and what comes through is the sweetness which could be the case here......
I had them twice before writing the review just to make sure as Macarons are difficult to get right and even the best places have bad days.
The people here are nice and the service is good however, I will stick to Delysèes on King near Bathurst and make the drive for the guarantee of good Macarons especially since we tend to take them as gifts
Looks just don't cut it anymore..... won't be returning. Premium prices call for premium ingredients. Could be a turn around issue.
