Get your story straight! It was the worst experience! The place I booked is in Edmonton East. A day before the rental, they gave me a call to confirmed and I specific asked is it ok I ask my partner to pick up the car for me, and if so should he bring my driver license and credit card. The guy respond "he doesn't need to bring your ID and anything as long as he has his own ID and credit card ". Then I mentioned again the reservation was under my name which is not under my partner, I will be the person driving not him and confirmed with the agent again if it is ok. The agent said it was totally fine! Everything was fine until we get to the office, agents told my partner I cannot drive the car unless I brought my driver licenses or I share the same last name with my partner. Well, it is 21st Century, woman does not have to change their last name because of marriage! The whole situation makes us very frustrate, the only reason I gave 1 star is because the girl on the counter was really nice and she just follow the procedures which I complete understand. The thing makes me mad is the first male agent we were dealt with should know his work better instead of sending us to the office with nothing.
