rev:text	My wife and I booked the helicopter ride to the west rim of the Grand Canyon. Let me first say it was an excellent trip all around albeit a little expensive. The trip started at 5:40am for us and was picked up by the shuffle quite promptly at the hotel. It took us about 30 min to get to Boulder City and another 20 min to checkin and get ready for the flight. It was my first time in a helicopter and the experience was amazing. It was fairly stable throughout and we got a great view of the canyon. Btw, we paid extra for the front seats and it was worth it considering I was taking pics and videos the entire time. The ride was about 30 minutes and the pilot was friendly and fun the whole way. We landed in the middle of the canyon and just had a quick breakfast picnic. The food was meh, but it was nice to sit down and eat something. There really wasn't a lot of time at the canyon, maybe 25 minutes or so before we had to get going. On the way back, we took a southern route, so we couldn't see the Grand Canyon on the way back, which was a little disappointing. I think it would've been nice to reverse the route because the sun was in our face on the way there, so it was hard to take pics at times. Had we gone the reverse, the photos would've been nicer, especially when we passed by the Hoover dam and lake Meade(?). When we came back, we had to wait a little before the shuttle could take us back, but not a long wait. Overall, the trip was well organized. We got back to our hotel by 10am, so a total of about 4 hours for the entire trip. I would totally recommend it to anyone who wants to do it!
