  • Mediocre Food, Great Service, Nice Ambiance Let's start with the positives, the restaurant is beautiful and the service is great! The music was a bit loud, but we were also there on a Friday night. The table we got by the window was really nice since you could look out on the Vegas strip and see the Bellagio water fountain shows. The food. I mean, the food would be 2 stars for me. It was just so mediocre and predictable. It's never a nice meal when I know that I can make better food in my kitchen at home. First, the lack of a price on the tasting menu is beyond annoying (FYI - it is $120 / person). I hate that I had to ask. Second, it's way overpriced. I've eaten at e by Jose Andres, Joel Robuchon and L'Aterlier, Le Cirque, Guy Savoy, etc. (just for comparison in Vegas), and this was not worth it. As such, we just ordered off the regular menu. Other than the free bread that comes with the meal, which was outstanding, the food was disappointing. Pecorino Tartufo with apricot preserves - meh. Needs a vessel to be served on. Only came with the cheese. This was a server recommendation. Blah. Roman Caprese and Baby Kale Salad - both excellent. Spaghetti - shrimp was excellent, but the spaghetti was underwhelming. It was under-sauced, and the sauce was more like an Alfredo if it was weak and bland. This was a server recommendation. Meh. Whole Roasted Chicken - well cooked, salty. Overall, it was meh. I can make it better at home. The cacciatore was super sweet and underwhelming. I can do better by making my own sauce in a pressure cooker that has way more depth of flavor. All in all, we would not go back. You can easily identify how the recipes come together, and where they fall apart. When my party and I spent the majority of the meal discussing how we could have improved the dish, it isn't a dish worth paying for.
