| - I've been 3 times for cortisone shots, which last Thursday will be last time. The nurses were offensive to me. After struggling with IV, she comes back in, and says, " then i'll get your mom." She said, "she was in the bathroom." i almost hit the ceiling. Yes, you need a ride there and back. My mother's 83 with a walker. I didn't want her walking back to sit with me. They don't know my relationship with her. They should just be giving shots in the Dr's office. I was astonished at this nurse. Then, they put me in a recliner, bcus the chair i was in was inappropriate. I used the other seat, that was there for my mom, to put my feet up. The man next to me was snoring in a bed. Then, other med assistant, said i looked so awful. Well, i work 4 10 hr shifts, to have insurance. She then was inquisitive and asked what i did, and insulted me for working in a call center. I had to defend myself and told her my real background. I was so exasperated. Finally, the nurse wheeled me outside, my mom being elderly, wasn't there yet, dumb nurse couldn't wait, and made a dumb remark, wheeling me back in. My friend died in 2010, also had degenerative back disease, also got a ride. Not there, but let me tell you, her ride was an abusive ex spo. He was a practicing alcoholic, and a humbling ordeal to have him take her to get an epidural. I thought of her and cried. She died of fentanel patch. They don't prescribe pain killer as they did years ago. Why our cortisone shots are now so much more important, north valley should at least be asking patients if the want or would prefer not to sit with that family member.
