Having a little change in plans for the day while I was in town, I thought I would explore this new attraction at Concord Mills.
It's an aquarium inside a mall. It isn't as large as aquariums in other cities, but for the venue I think it's quite an interesting display.
It is geared towards children, and I think that's great. Lots of the spaces include lower windows that make it easier for the children to view the fish. There are also educational messages throughout the aquarium geared to help the kids have a better understanding of marine life and things they can do to lessen human impact on oceans and the animals.
Admission price allows you to return to the aquarium as much as you like during that day. That's beneficial especially if you'd like to watch the various animals during their feeding times.
I enjoyed the behind the scenes tour which included going to the upper level and seeing the main tank from above.
If you are a parent in this area and looking for something fun and entertaining for the kids (and something that you will enjoy as well) this is the place I would recommend.
