My garage door wouldn't open on a Sunday, so I called Precision. They sent a technician out right away, so we are off to a great start. The technician was friendly and knowledgeable, but then came the quote: $1,600 + tax to replace a conversion pole and 2 springs. When I balked at the price, the technician called his manager and lowered the bid to $1,200 + tax as a one day only sale. A friend recommended a different company, and they did the same job with quality parts for $260 with tax. I understand paying a premium for a big company that can back their warranty, but I could have the job done with the other company 4 times if I was lucky enough to live that long and still have enough money to purchase a couple tickets to Disneyland!
