| - I drive by this place all the time and had always wanted to go there, because I grew up having Navajo tacos all the time back home. I got a groupon for it and finally decided to check it out.
The food was pretty good, but not that amazing. It's been a few years since I've had a legit Navajo taco, and I remember them tasting better than that.
This place is a hole in the wall, and you kind of have to go in with low expectations. If you do that, then you shouldn't have too terrible of an experience.
Everything was very casual and laid back as I expected, but the food took FOREVER. My husband and I ordered two Navajo Tacos and just one extra fry bread with brown sugar and cinnamon (they totally doused it in that stuff). We waited at least 40 minutes for our order, and half way through they said they were out of lettuce and cheese, which I said was fine, we can just take it to go and we have that stuff at home.
We then waited for the rest of the time, got our food and left. Funny thing is, in the end, they had all the toppings on there, nothing was missing...weird.
So the food was ok, and the service wasn't amazing, but I didn't expect much. Probably won't be going back, and I know for sure I won't be able to convince my husband to go back! ha.
