| - I called the main location to see if they'd be willing to open early for my friends and I on a Saturday, since we had a wedding. They put me in touch with the Pittsburgh manager and she let me know she would be happy to open early for us, and we confirmed on the phone for my appointments.
The day before, I decided to call the salon and confirm since it was getting late in the day and I hadn't gotten a confirmation yet. I called and spoke to a woman on the phone who said she had no record of our appointments, and she sounded surprised someone would even make an appointment at 9 AM. I asked her for the manager's number, so I called her and asked if she recalled speaking to me and she said yes, but she sounded like she forgot all about it. She mentioned something about someone no longer working there, but then she said she'd call the salon back to see what she could do and that she'd call me back. I didn't hear back for an hour, and it was already past 5, so I made 3 last minute appointments at another salon. Thankfully they were able to take us, because the manager never called back.
I sent an email detailing my experience to the main Styleout email account, followed up after a week, and still never heard back.
I find it extremely unprofessional that 1) They didn't honor our appointments 2) Didn't try to help or accommodate us and 3) NEVER called or emailed me back or apologized. This is a brand new salon to the Pittsburgh area, so they should be trying to gain new business and forming relationships with customers. That did not happen last week and I'm very disappointed and will not be visiting this salon now.
