  • Decided to get my first tattoo in 15 years. I wasn't familiar with any of the artists in the area so I checked out Yelp and several artists' FB pages. One that kept coming up was Tony Goeke from Love & Hate. He seemed to have a good command of black and gray so I hit him up for a bamboo design. I gave him some pictures and an idea of what I wanted the bamboo to symbolize and he ran with it. He came up with a concept I didn't even think of and it made perfect sense. Goeke was professional and had a light touch, which my wrist/forearm appreciated. The tattoo is 3 weeks old now and almost perfectly healed. I do need some touch-up to reinforce the outline in a few areas but other than that, this tattoo is great. Very happy with the results.
