  • Fabulous! We were in town for a family function and decided to take advantage of the fact that our science center membership allows us to visit this museum for free, as part of a consortium. It was one of the best museums I have been to, outside of Washington, D.C. The children loved it and were entertained for 90 minutes (which is a LONG time for little people). Our seven year old was super excited to get to touch an "actual bear" and to "scan the interior of a mummy." They have the largest collection of taxidermied animals I've seen, a small aquarium, a science center room for children and a really remarkable Ancient Egypt exhibit. Amazingly, we were the only family there for the first hour of our visit! I visit many museums a year and was very impressed by this little gem.
