| - Passed by this place with Rachel and noticed the windows wide open, creating a patio-like setting in the store. There are 2 tables to sit at, but hopefully when the weather becomes warmer they will integrate some benches because it's bound to get busy. Not only do they sell gelato, but they have some beverage options as well!
They have a range of flavours to choose from, the front line being nut-free (mostly fruity flavours). You can sample some flavours and, in the event that you don't purchase any scoops, you must pay $1. The lady that served us was very nice and helpful in terms of answering any questions that we had. They have some flavours that you are not allowed to sample, but I'm guessing because those are A1. There are some flavours that have alcohol in them, not quite sure what the percentage is, but you can definitely taste them. They are integrated well, as they do not completely overpower the mixture.
I tried baileys, stracciatella, and rosso. The baileys tasted like a smoothy iced cap, not as sweet as one though, with a kick of bailey's alcohol. I really liked that one. I also really liked the rosso, this one is made with red wine. This one was sweeter and tasted quite fruity. It was more creamy than ice cream (duh), yet did not have the texture of a sorbet... despite it being more fruit based. The stracciatella was Rachel's favourite. Vanilla x chocolate, how could you go wrong? The chocolate flakes tasted like dark chocolate, although I'm not quite sure if they were. Overall, I highly recommend this gelato spot... it might JUUUST be in my top 5 of the city! Definitely returning again!
