| - From nothing special to offensive.
Atmosphere - this place is all about location. It's a great place to go and sit by the river. The inside is clean, modern, and comfortable. Cool place to hang out.
Food/Beer - Meh. The beers aren't bad, but nothing I'm going to seek out. I was happy to drink them, but they're easily forgettable. Admittedly, I'm a bit of a beer snob, so take that for what's it's worth. Most will be happy with the beer. Kind of the same opinion with the food. It's almost like they're trying too hard. Swinging for the fences, but just whiffing on the ball. The menu looks good, but the actual delivery isn't there. I sense the dishes are too complicated, look good on paper, but just don't come together with balance. Again, it wan't horrible, but nothing I'm going out of my way for.
Service - A disaster. There were either 3 or 4 hostesses (or at least employees at the station) that seemed absolutely lost and overwhelmed. I was there on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but no one was "in the weeds". The hostesses weren't rude, but weren't particularly pleasant either (see a trend of mediocrity here?). They were frustrated and it showed. The worst was our server. A former "bouncer" who started out pleasant enough. He was talkative, personable, made us feel relaxed. Then things took a turn. When my wife got up to go to the restroom and she was away from the table, he grabbed her arm and told her she was "smokin' hot". Some ladies may take that as a complement, but not a woman who is there with her husband and young daughter. Unfortunately (or fortunately for him) my wife knew better than to tell me right away. Admittedly, I probably would have caused quite a scene. But, she told me later that night, and now I'm sharing it with you. If you decide to go and get a big dude for a waiter who's talking up how he's an actor, be prepared for some unwanted advances.
