Took my older SUV in a few weeks ago for an alignment after I had a bunch of front end/suspension work done. After I got it back I noticed it was still pulling to the left. And later noticed (just by looking at the tire) that it was tilted in at the top. So I took it back for them to look at and found out they didn't really do anything. But charged me for it of course.
My BiL came with me because he did the front end work and wanted to make sure they would do what they say. In the conversation about what the truck is doing we mention the shims that are needed to do the alignment. He looked confused and said they don't use shims. And immediately we questioned what I had paid for a few weeks ago if they don't use shims which is what my truck needs. His response was basically, "well I don't know if it was really done or not because everything under there is loose." So I've been driving around with tilted tires which has now messed up my right tie rod end and other bushings which need to be replaced. So after going back and forth with the guy, we waited another 3 hrs (he said 30-45 mins by the way) just to have him look at it and confirm what we've said, and he still didn't give me money back or anything. Didn't seem to care that they charged me for a service they don't even preform. He did go ahead and tighten everything for free since it all was loose from me driving around Phoenix without an accurate alignment.....thanks.
He suggested we should have taken it to an alignment specialist if it needed shims. WHY DIDN'T THEY SAY THAT THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT IT IN!?
Probably won't ever bring our automobiles to this place again.
