I was meeting a friend here for linnet. Around 4, so definitely not lunch but a bit too early for dinner.
Anyways, I had never been here before and the restaurant is actually a decent size. We sat next to the kitchen entrance, right in front of a television (it was football Sunday!).
When I sat, I was almost immediately greeted and asked if I knew what I would like to drink.
My friend and I were chit chatting a bunch (we had not seen each other in quite a while) and she did check on us twice before I was ready to order - which was perfectly fine! She was very polite about it. When it came down to it, I asked her opinion and I took her suggestion.
I ordered two taco platter; the paco taco and the shrimp taco, no beans.
The food came out relatively fast. But I was munching on chips and salsa (the salsa was a bit hotter than I expected, but definitely delicious!). The rice was nice, not dry! They did provide a slaw but I did not eat it too much - but it wasn't that bad. The tacos... the brisket one (Paco's) was flavored nice but the taco was over stuffed and when I bit into it I grabbed wayyyy more meat than I wanted and it was a mess. So instead I just ate it with my fork. The shrimp taco was good (but not enough sauce). The shrimp and battered and fried.
The server was super nice and sweet. She checked on us just the right amount of times and was not overbearing.
The food, was not the best but pretty good. I definitely will be back!!
