There were a lot of pluses to this hotel. Unfortunately, there were also some strong minuses. Let's start with the good..
The Good:
Perfect location in downtown Toronto and walking distance to nightlife, business district, restaurants and overall activities. The rooms are all very spacious and come with a full kitchen. The rooms are also very modern and the vibe is quite trendy. A great place to stay for people of any demographic really. They also have a really cool bar in the lobby that attracts a happy hour crowd around 5pm.
The Bad:
I had to request a separate room because of the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. It was to the point where I started wheezing a bit. Upon being moved to a separate room, I was again greeted with the smell of cigarette smoke. Though it was more subtle, it was still a strong scent. This took away from the stay as they clearly have an issue here that needs to be resolved.
Overall I really liked the hotel, but the smell issue really put a damper on things and will likely prevent me from staying here again. If it weren't for that, this would be a great option for a hotel.
