| - Finally, customizable sushi rolls! I'm a huge proponent of customizable food of any type, simply because, as prepared, there is always at least one ingredient that I don't want in a dish and typically one or more ingredients that I wish were included. Sushi tends to be the hardest to customize, based on the difficulty of communicating with most sushi chefs...as well as the mysterious and often exorbitant costs that result.
However, at HDYR, you can get exactly what you want. This not only indulges finicky palates but it enables you to more easily watch your calories.
The quality of the ingredients at How Do You Roll is comparable to most other sushi places I've ever been...I'd even say better than many. I don't know what some of the reviewers are talking about when they say that everything tastes frozen; that's just the cliche that people go to when some external factor (in this case, their sushi snobbery) gets in the way of their enjoyment of something that is legitimately good; they just assume that if it's affordable and franchised that it can't be good.
For my tastes, HDYR perfectly balances quality, price, and portions. In fact, if anything, they're too generous; I found myself wondering how they can make a profit with such large portions of high quality food at such low prices.
