  • Girl's day out time! My friend, Deb, and I had been eyeing Art of Merlot for a little bit when a Google Offer popped up! We snagged it and came in on a Sunday, fruity wine in hand, to paint Spring Blossoms. The class started a little early since nearly everyone was there, so I suggest coming about 10 minutes early to set up and leisurely chat with your date. Our instructor was really sweet and accentuated that there is no "right" way to do things. Paint as you please! but this is how you do it if you want the result to look similar to the focus painting. I'm not creative in the painting or drawing sense, so I stuck VEEEEERY closely to what she taught us and my result has gotten many a compliment. I like how they took a few pictures during the class of you and your "date" as you paint, and then of the whole class, that they post to Facebook. It really rounded out a fun time!
