This was a solid buffet. This review is for a weekday dinner.
I had been here several years ago and remember liking it. When I got a BOGO coupon with my husband, I decided to make a trip out here again. This buffet ain't cheap, but compared to other strip buffets it's on par. It's definitely worth going to.
I thought they had some impressive hot food stations. One in particular was a "choose your own seafood" one where you could make your own scampi. I actually didn't care much for a base so they were able to just grill it in oil and wine which was nice. They also had a nice assortment of seafood dishes - lots of ceviches and other hot food dishes. Their sushi selection was a tad disappointing, but they did have poke and salmon nigiri which was actually quite decent.
They have a lot of weird/fun dishes - most of which are served in these mini little tins. The tins do stack, which is nice, but it kinda gets annoying especially if you have limited room on your table or plate. Plus, it seems like a lot of extra work for the dishwashers. It's a novel concept, but it gets old. For some things it makes sense - like the mini baskets of chicken they take right from the fryer. But for others - like the beet ravioli that they just have ONE ravioli in - in just seems like a waste. My husband actually liked the side dishes because he's not a fan of his food touching.
Overall this buffet is definitely worth visiting once, especially if you're like me and you like a twist on your average usual buffet food. BUuuuuut,I still think Bacchanal is an all around better buffet, even if it might be a tad more. I think that's more worth the splurge and I felt that the food was a slightly higher quality.
