  • Never again. Prepaid and reserved Ford Focus or "equivalent"compact arrived to be given Mitsubishi Mirage sub compact. Drove to hotel and promptly turned around and drove it back to rental place. Guy at desk insisted Mirage IS compact. Worst POS I've ever driven. Don't believe car classifications at Hertz unless you confirm model upfront. The "equivalent" is BS. Challenging charge with Citi Card we'll see how that goes. After returning car walked over to budget and got nice Chevy Cruze for a little more with full options and additional insurance. Horrid way to start vacation. Spread the word. Addendum: Sent details to Hertz. No reply.
