Our experience with this Home Depot - large appliance purchase has been horrific! The "associate", David, took our order and subsequently order the incorrect stove for delivery. We had to call and call to speak to a manager who said they could replace it but it took over a week to schedule the delivery. The delivery co. informed of the many restrictions they had: they could not help with installation, they couldn't leave the stove anywhere but the kitchen so we had it crowding us out because we couldn't move it before installation. The stove did not come with a cord to plug into the wall so we still could not use it until we could hire an electrician. David never told us of this. The stove cost more than most and we paid more for not being able to use it for well over a month after paying $3200 for a kitchen aid stove. Now, the wires melted. KA sent repair person who related all the restrictions he had to abide by and it took over two weeks. The stove is still unusable. Home Depot and Kitchen Aid both declined to offer a solution now that the stove is paid for and does not work. They each tried pointing at the other to lay blame and finally decided to lame blame with us for not plugging it in even thouvh the stove did not arrive with a cord.
When shopping at Home Depot and purchasing anything of significant value make sure your sales person tells you everything you need to know to have it installed ... whatever that is since it isn't every day one makes those purchases and more than likely as a customer you are hoping the shop you purchase from wants you to have a successful use of your appliance. When they start talking about themselves and that they hate their job with home depot its time to go elsewhere.
