| - I love this place however some of the policies are a bit under thought. Previously worked 6 years at the nations 2nd rank once upon a child, and I feel there are lots of areas kid to kid could improve on. Firstly, I understand the concept of the instore wait time, but I watched multiple families have to leave because children were hungry or tired. There's no place to wait, no place for parents to sit, with wait times either being an HOUR or 7pm it would be at least nice to not be forced into spending extra money for over an hour. I have one child, the time it took me to look through her size, the seasonal stuff, shoes, and some miscellaneous items was far less than the time I spent waiting on my things. Unfortunately I don't have time at all to come back another day, so I was forced to sit in a metal chair for 50+ minutes. (Watching the office, thank god for technology) I understand the concept but if your wait times begin to exceed 30+ minutes for express buys, even moms want to sit eventually. Also, I literally wanted to walk to the goodwill next door....... since I had an HOUR MINIMUM. I kinda get where you're coming from guys but it's a hit and a miss....
For nursing moms? Any and all moms.. I found out nursing moms are given a chair they keep in the office and put into a fitting room? I can't imagine the issues you have with children running the place rampant because they have to wait with their parents so long...
When I wanted to speak to one of the owners about this, as a suggestion she hushed me as quickly as possible, got another employee whom also spoke over me, then they both informed me of "the nice chair in the office" that u can shove into a fitting room. ....? Not remotely close to what I was trying to say and I don't feel heard.
Overall this was the most disappointing experience I've had there, as I stood next to several other disgruntled customers about the same issue, the employees just continue to talk over you and refuse to listen.
Maybe the staff was just having a bad day?
But, the waiting thing, seriously something to consider please, as someone from the same industry.
Unfortunately Gilbert is just too far from my house in Ahwatukee to drive to once upon a child.
(Also, because I was asking questions about this and decided to post up in said metal chair next to behind the counter I was able to watch the employee deliberately skip my buy for 2 other people who walked in after me, excited to finally leave and not in the mood to be talked over more I chose not to even bring that up. All because I made a comment at drop off regarding my feelings on the policy, which I've never heard of until today and this is my 6th time selling there in the last six months....)
Please make this better. I'm super disappointed right now. My daughter and I love that store.
