| - After a very pleasant reply from Mike D at Walker furniture, let me assure both him and anyone reading this that, I am in fact correct and everything in my review happened exactly as I posted it. It is not simply my opinion, it is a cold hard fact. Mike can forward the situation to whomever he pleases but it did not change any of the facts in my story. I was told there was a price match guarantee and Walker Furniture failed to match the price I found online. The only, I repeat, ONLY explanation I was provided was because the online retailer did not have any overhead costs and I needed to consider that when deciding the "best price". I have since ordered the EXACT same sofa from the online retailer saving over $500.00 on the "best" price I was offered at Walker. I reiterate my previous post, WALKER DOES NOT HAVE A PRICE MATCH GUARANTEE! A "best price possible" is in no way shape or form a price match.
Asking me, the customer, to contact you, "if I would be so kind" is a failure in management. Providing a phone number after the fact and inconveniencing the client, all the while promising a great deal is not good customer service. Why would I go out of my way (again) to provide you with business? I was in your store and your "manager" gave me "the best price". So, was he incorrect or are you now incorrect? Are you pulling rank and, in an attempt to cover up for poor in-store service, now attempting to placate me with a better deal? This is shady business practice at best. I will never do one cent of business with Walker Furniture and I highly recommend all others to reconsider before doing business there as well. If you are a potential client, please read this and think, what would have happened if I had taken the "best price"? I would have overpaid. Do not make this mistake. Look elsewhere, do business elsewhere, avoid Walker Furniture at all costs.
