| - This review is for the Emergency room and the Emergency room staff only. TERRIBLE, terrible, terrible service. Zero stars.
Emergency Room operator- I called on my way over to the hospital as it was the closet ER near me after my 5 year old son experienced a soccer accident and was bleeding profusely from the mouth. The receptionist lacked empathy skills, was rude and uninformative. I proceed to the hospital anyway for urgent medical care for my son. MISTAKE.
Parking- Good luck getting your loved one to the Emergency Room! Because of construction, there is no parking near the ER entrance. If you can manage to get your car near the door, there is no security outside or anyone to assist in getting your loved one into the ER... Fortunately there is a packed parking garage across the street... just what is needed when a patient is experiencing trauma.
ER Admitting - Once we finally arrived (after having to walk quite a distance with my son bleeding from the face and navigating a construction obstacle course) we met with the same woman that I spoke with on the phone. Rude, uninterested and uninformed, she refused to assist me in understanding whether or not my insurance would cover the visit. She paid zero attention to my son who was bleeding on the floor in front of her. She took our information and went about her business
with a smug attitude.
ER nurse- Unprofessional and rude. We were called back relatively quickly but before I would allow my son to be admitted, I inquired with the nurse about whether the ER would take my insurance. She was extremely irritated with my inquiry and said these words verbatim, "We take all insurances but I'm not going to guarantee that you won't receive a bill for $1,000 after your visit." I did not allowed my son to be banded with a hospital bracelet, and I left, letting the nurse know that I would write this review. Here it is.
Because of the experience that I have written about above, my son and I failed to receive timely treatment for a serious injury that required stiches inside of the mouth. For the next 45 minutes, I had to seek another ER that was willing to be transparent and helpful about my insurance inquiries.
I love to write positive reviews but unfortunately, dealing with this "hospital" was an extremely negative experience during a traumatic and trying moment in our lives.
Recommendation... Try the Banner Network instead. I hope this review helps someone in our position to make an informed choice in their time of need.
