This is a cute little gem in East York that does what it does well. By that I mean, pastries galore. I'm not a fan of their macarons, but they won me over with their cream puff and plain croissant. During the fall, I tried their pumpkin pie and it was also divine. I always feel sheepish ordering a plain croissant, but damn it, they do it well.
Also good: their freshly baked bread. I appreciate the effort it takes to make bread, and I further appreciate a reasonably priced loaf!
Suffice to say, if I'm feeling the craving for something sinfully indulgent, it's nice to know that I have this option in my own neighbourhood. The only reason I docked a star is because I invariably get frosty reception from the woman behind the counter (possibly the owner?). I don't need a whole conversation, but just to observe the social niceties and feel welcome in the bakery would be nice.
