  • I see I'm the first yelp'er to like this place! I first tried Sonora Lab at Good Sam Hospital on McDowell, but the lady told me they didn't take AHCCCS insurance and told me to go to LabCorp across the street. So I went right over to LabCorp at 1010 McDowell, and didn't like it from the moment I entered. So I left, and chose to go to this LabCorp because it was right next to John C. Lincoln hospital. Last time I was at JCL was 20 years ago, in a coma with a broken neck, so I wanted to get my blood tests done and go check the hospital out for a trip down memory lane. That's why I drove 25 minutes to this LabCorp location. I arrived WITHOUT an appointment at around 9am on Tuesday 3/22/16 and there were about 15 patients ahead of me. The girl behind the counter (Ashley) checked me in and told me "thank you please have a seat and we'll call you". So I did. I waited 50 minutes to be called in, which I feel is ok because I did NOT have an appointment and the place was busy. So I went in. I forget the guys name who drew my 4 tubes of blood, but he introduced himself as I entered and did his job very well. Got the vein in 1 try and the bruise afterwards was smaller than 5mm. Good job in my opinion. That was my first visit here. I then returned WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT again on Tuesday 3/29/16 at 11:15am and again saw Ashley behind the front desk. I waited 30 minutes to be called in, by her this time. They were closing for lunch and I was last in line, so she drew my blood. I'm a talkative person, so we engaged in conversation while she drew 4 more tubes like a PRO! Got the vein with no problem and no pain. We talked some more and then I had to run. When I got home and took the gauze off I could barely even see where the needle went in and absolutely NO bruising whatsoever. SO, I don't know who these other Yelp'ers had to deal with at this LabCorp location, but I know that I will be going to this place for my blood work from now on even though I live down by Sky Harbor Airport. I hope that other people have the experience that I have had. As far as cleanliness, I also give it 5 stars. Very nice clean waiting area and clean spacious rooms to draw blood in.
