I've been dying to try Piccolo Forno for dinner. My friend and I went tonight (Thursday around 7pm) and got seated right away. It's BYOB and reservations are for groups 5 and more - so tonight was the perfect night to go.
Our waitress Julia was very informative and was able to answer all our questions (regarding the most popular pizzas and pastas)
We started with a pizza to share. We split the Quattro Formaggio (a white pizza topped with fresh mozzarella, Gorgonzola, crotenese, and ricotta) - it was delicious. It was the perfect pizza pie to share for an appetizer. It was light and refreshing.
For my main course (I went with Julia's suggestion over the traditional lasagna) - I tried the Fettuccine con Sugo di Funghi (porcini and wild mushroom ragu with porcini funghi and grated truffles percorni) - it was amazing and i would definitely get this dish again. My friend got Tagliatelle con Agnello in Umido (the braised lamb dish) - she let me taste it and it was out of this world. It was amazing.
For dessert- I opted for the Limoncello gelato (it was the perfect ending to this meal) - My friend ordered the Tiramusi (it was so good I'd order it next time as well)
Overall, I enjoyed my Thursday night at Piccolo Forno and will be back again soon.
