  • I have previously done Crossfit for a short while. I loved my previous box. It was the perfect atmosphere combined with intensity for my out-of-shape ass. Every individual is different and needs a different environment to push them/feed that intensity. I was pretty confident that I wasn't going to find the environment that i previously had. I scouted a few Crossfits in the Charlotte area by taking advantage of the free WODs that were offered. And I was right, I didn't like the atmosphere. Then comes SCCF. It doesn't look pretty on the outside but who cares? It's a freaking place to work out. From the get-go, Jeremy and Abby (and other coaches) were hands on. The environment is one where you're pushed, is competitive if you make it that way (all mental because you push yourself to compete against other members completing the WOD; other members, I'm sure do the same, but nobody has made it competitive.) And I must say that their WODs are more intense than other Crossfit boxes. That's all good though because the workouts last longer, you push yourself more, and that should equal better results! If you're looking for a great place to work out, join a tight-knit community, and get your ass kicked on a daily basis, then SCCF is for you. Class sizes are not too big and they are capped.
