  • I stayed in this hotel with a points + cash option. I was really looking forward to it as it is a fairly new building with what looked like awesome rooms and pool area. Checked into my room and on the desk was what looked like a spilled soda/juice that wasn't cleaned up and left a sticky film on the table. I opened the fridge and found human hairs and it wasn't cold. I called the front desk and asked them if they could bring some type of clorox/lysol wipe for me to clean up the table and also if someone could check the fridge. I was told it would be better to switch rooms because the fridge issue wouldn't be corrected that night. Took my bags and went downstairs. Got a new room key and went back up. Next room was much better (at first) with the cleanliness. It wasn't until I went to shower that I realized there was a used washcloth hanging on the shower door and hair in the shower. My second morning my key card didn't work to get into the room, so I had to have it reset. The hot tub was out of service the one night I went downstairs to use it. The breakfast isn't anything special. There was only 1 person working in the breakfast area. I felt really bad for her. She was running all over the place trying to keep up and couldn't. There were a lot of people waiting for the food, it was taking a while for the eggs and sausage to come out and when it did because there were so many people waiting the trays were emptied before everyone could get some. The yogurts and milks were not replenished, the plastic silverware and plates kept running out. We only attempted to eat the breakfast the first morning, after seeing what a disaster it was and how poor the quality of food we opted for driving across the street to the Starbucks and grabbing breakfast sandwiches. The location of the hotel is pretty great. Westlake Ohio is about 20 minutes west of downtown Cleveland, with easy freeway access. I felt like for the price I paid for my stay along with the points I used it was not worth it.
